Madrid, Spain March 19, 2025.
During March 16-19, 2025, Madrid hosted a meeting of the VIII Kazakhstan-Spain Business Council aimed at intensifying trade and economic cooperation, attracting investments and implementing joint projects.
The event was attended by Timur Onzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Baiterek NMH JSC, representatives of subsidiary organizations of the Holding, as well as representatives of leading Kazakhstani developers and manufacturers of construction materials.
During the visit, the Kazakh delegation held a number of key meetings, including with the Chairman of the Spanish State Export Credit Insurance Company (“CESCE”), Pablo de Ramon-Laca, and Juan Jose Benitez, CEO. Visits were made to innovative enterprises such as Xcalibur, Parque Tecnológico de Valdemingómez and Innovaciones Imabe S.L.U., where participants were familiarized with advanced technologies and exchanged experiences in the field of sustainable energy and infrastructure.
Furthermore, the possibilities of using financial instruments to support business were discussed, as well as the prospects for cooperation in priority sectors of the economy.
As part of the 2nd day of the Business Council, Altay Kuzdibayev, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan Housing Company JSC, spoke at the panel session “New Business Opportunities in Kazakhstan”.
“Kazakhstan and Spain are proven business partners. Spain has extensive experience and practice in the implementation of projects in the construction sector, namely the production of quality finishing and construction materials such as ceramics, sanitary faience, fittings, insulation materials. Kazakhstan Housing Company, being the Single Operator of housing construction in the country, plays a key role in supporting the construction industry of the country. Today there is a delegation of leading Kazakhstani developers and manufacturers of construction materials with us and they are ready for an open dialogue and discussion of specific localization projects. We are willing to consider potential cooperation in localization of building materials production in Kazakhstan”, – emphasized Altay Kuzdibayev, Chairman of the Board of KHC.
Expansion of international cooperation will enable KHC to actively attract potential investors with expertise and new technologies in the construction industry which contributes to the social and economic development of Kazakhstan.
Another place of business visit of the Kazakh delegation was the Moldtech plant manufacturing equipment for reinforced concrete factories and house-building plants. The participants expressed their interest in cooperation in the development of trends and modernization of house-building plants in Kazakhstan.
The meeting of the VIII Kazakhstan-Spain Business Council was an important step towards strengthening economic ties between two countries opening new opportunities to implement joint projects and raise investments in promising sectors of the Kazakhstani economy.
