Kazakhstan Housing Company JSC (subsidiary organization of Baiterek NMH JSC, KHC) officially joined the UN Global Compact – the world’s largest initiative in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
The Global Compact, founded by the United Nations in 2000, includes more than 20,000 business and non-profit participants from more than 160 countries. The main goal of the Compact is to encourage participants to align their strategies and actions with international principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
Joining the UN Global Compact, the KHC reaffirms its commitment to 10 universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor relations, environmental protection and anti-corruption activities, supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The Company intends to integrate these principles into its professional business strategy, corporate culture and operational processes, and to promote them in the business community.
As part of the initiative, the KHC plans to submit an annual report demonstrating its sustainability achievements. We are also ready to actively engage with other Global Compact participants, share experience and implement best practices in our activities.
The KHC empowers people, communities and businesses by providing digital solutions that improve efficiency, accelerate progress and simplify everyday tasks.
Thus, a company’s joining the principles of the UN Global Compact can lead not only to an improvement of its image, but also to real changes in the company’s strategy and operations contributing to the creation of more sustainable and responsible business practices.
