On the eve of Nauryz, JSC “Kazakhstan Housing Company” organized a festive event “Az-Nauryz.”
Employees from all departments, including the cities of Sayram, Sygnaq, Otyrar, and Turkistan, showcased their talents. The event featured theatrical performances, national sports, traditions, and customs. In particular, the ceremonies “Kuda tusy,” “Syrǵa salý,” “Betashar,” and “Tusaý keser” were demonstrated, and the significance of the Nauryz holiday was fully explained.
All attendees enjoyed traditional Kazakh dishes, including nauryz kozhe and baursak, as well as other national delicacies. Acting Chairman of the Board, Altai Kuzdybayev, congratulated all employees on the Nauryz holiday and wished prosperity to the country.
The word “Nauryz” translates from Persian as “new day.” The day when day and night are equal, and livestock grazes safely, is called by Kazakhs the “Great Day of the Nation.” Today, Nauryz has become a truly national celebration, warmly observed in independent Kazakhstan. This holiday is considered one of the fundamental roots of our people and our independence.
