Today, representatives of JSC “Kazakhstan Housing Company” (hereinafter – KHC) held a planned roadshow meeting with developers in the city of Almaty.
During the meeting, a presentation titled “Mechanisms for Guaranteeing Shared-Equity Housing Construction and Subsidizing Developer Loans” was delivered. It provided detailed information on the requirements for obtaining a guarantee from the Unified Operator, the procedures for concluding all types of contracts when providing the guarantee, and the procedure for submitting subsidy applications as stipulated by legislation.
The meeting also addressed issues related to unscrupulous developers and problematic construction projects in the city. It is worth noting that currently, there are 11 construction projects in Almaty covered by the guarantee of JSC “KHC.” However, the number of projects being built without proper permits unfortunately has not decreased.
According to https://homeportal.kz/shared-construction-objects , there are currently 80 residential complexes under construction in Almaty whose developers are legally allowed to attract funds from equity participants. According to KHC, these projects are registered in the Unified Shared-Equity Participation Information System “Kazreestr,” meaning that equity participants’ funds are protected.
Up-to-date information about construction companies legally allowed to attract funds from equity participants can be found on the Housing Portal (homeportal.kz/shared-construction-objects) in the section “Shared-Equity Construction Projects”, allowing citizens to minimize risks and avoid becoming victims of fraud.
To increase the effectiveness of its objectives within the framework of the Housing Construction Development Concept, KHC will continue working with key target audiences (developers) in regions across the country through regular information updates.
