The Personal Account for equity holders allows citizens to verify the registration of their Equity Participation Agreement (EPA) in the unified information system “Kazreestr.”
Every potential equity holder should know that, according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Equity Participation in Housing Construction,” developers may attract funds at the construction stage only after obtaining permission from the local executive body (akimat) or a guarantee from KHC. At the same time, the buyer must necessarily sign an EPA in the approved standard form, which is then registered in Kazreestr. Upon successful registration, a corresponding extract is generated, serving as confirmation that the transaction with the equity holder was carried out in accordance with the country’s legislation.
It is important to consider this before signing any documents with a developer, as some companies attract funds from equity holders using illegal methods, such as concluding reservation agreements, preliminary sale agreements, investment agreements, and so on. If such agreements are concluded with equity holders, there is no guarantee of receiving housing.
