Every potential equity holder should know that, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Equity Participation in Housing Construction,” developers may attract funds from participants during the construction phase only after obtaining permission from the Akimat or a guarantee from JSC "KHC." At the same time, an equity participation agreement (DPU) must be concluded with the buyer in the approved standard form, followed by its registration in the Unified Information System for Equity Participation in Housing Construction, “Kazreestr.” Upon successful registration of the DPU, a corresponding certificate is issued, which serves as confirmation that the transaction with the equity holder was concluded in accordance with the laws of Kazakhstan. The developer is required to provide this certificate to the equity holder.
Equity holders also have the option to independently verify the registration of their DPU in Kazreestr. There are several ways to do this.
First Method – through the Equity Holder’s Personal Account in the Housing Portal information system (homeportal.kz), which provides up-to-date online information on the DPU, the residential complex, the developer, and the authorized company. The equity holder also has access to download electronic versions of the DPU, additional agreements (if any), as well as the registration certificate of the DPU.

Second Method – through the Personal Account on the e-Government web portal (eGov), where the equity holder can obtain information on the DPU, including its number and date of conclusion, the total cost of the equity share, and information about the construction company.

Thus, active work is being carried out in the country to digitize the equity housing construction sector, which simplifies access for citizens to up-to-date information on DPUs online.
