A conference on “Project Management in Construction” was held at JSC Kazakhstan Housing Company (a subsidiary of JSC National Managing Holding «Baiterek», KHC) with participation from industry experts, representatives of engineering and construction companies, and project management specialists.
Opening the event, Kanat Zhauymbayev, Deputy Chairman of the KHC Board, highlighted the importance of implementing effective project management mechanisms to improve the quality and transparency of multi-apartment housing construction, reduce project risks, and prevent delays in commissioning.
The conference featured presentations by leading experts, including Arzhan Bugubaev, IPMA-A certified Project Director, and Altug Karagoz, Director of Hill International. Speakers covered key principles of project management, construction project lifecycle stages, budget and schedule planning, risk management, as well as practical cases from international and Kazakh practice.
Special attention was paid to the role of engineering companies and digital solutions in ensuring effective monitoring and project execution. KHC’s information systems were presented, including the “Nurly Zher Situational Center” and the EIS DUJS “Kazreestr”, used for monitoring guaranteed projects.
In the afternoon, KHC presented legal initiatives in the field of shared-equity construction, approaches to financial and technical control, practical experience in implementing project management and digitalization in Kazakh construction companies, and management of construction project risks.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of certificates to participants. The conference became a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing new approaches to the effective implementation of construction projects in Kazakhstan.
