The online construction materials platform material.kz was created by the Kazakhstan Housing Company (a subsidiary of JSC «NUH «Baiterek») in 2022 as part of the Concept for the Development of Housing and Communal Infrastructure for 2023–2029.
Currently, 286 manufacturers and suppliers of construction materials are registered on material.kz, publishing over 820 construction materials.
How does material.kz work?
After registration, Kazakhstani manufacturers can publish their range of construction materials, review the demand for materials, and, if necessary, send electronic commercial proposals directly to developers. Notifications of received proposals appear in the developer’s “personal account,” where they can review applications and select the most advantageous offers.
The online construction materials platform has increased the transparency of the Concept’s implementation, created conditions for reducing housing construction costs in Kazakhstan, and made interaction between domestic manufacturers and developers more convenient.
Currently, the demand for construction materials under the Concept amounts to KZT 63.2 billion. Regions with the highest demand include Atyrau, Turkistan, Kostanay, Karaganda, Aktobe, and the city of Astana.
