The Head of State was briefed on the activities of “Baiterek” Holding for 2021 and on its plans for the upcoming period.
In 2021, 37 large projects received support totaling 533.2 billion tenge, and 7 projects were commissioned. A total of 57.4 thousand small and medium-sized enterprises were supported with financing amounting to 2.2 trillion tenge. Additionally, 236.8 billion tenge was allocated to support domestic exporters.
According to the data presented to the President, more than 26 thousand loans totaling 464.2 billion tenge were issued to support the development of the agro-industrial complex.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed that in 2021 about 130 thousand families acquired housing or improved their living conditions. Moreover, as of January 1, 2022, 458 thousand depositors used their one-time pension withdrawals totaling over 1.97 trillion tenge.
Kanat Sharlapaev provided detailed information on the implementation of the President’s instructions regarding the reform of JSC “Development Bank of Kazakhstan” and changes in its management structure.
In addition, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the Holding’s plans for the current year, including the development of micro and small businesses and the introduction of a rental subsidy mechanism for socially vulnerable groups. The meeting also discussed measures to expand state support aimed at creating new jobs.
