The Head of State Received Kanat Sharlapaev, Chairman of the Board of JSC “National Managing Holding Baiterek”

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reviewed the report on the holding’s performance in 2022 and its plans for the upcoming period. The President was presented with proposals to support entrepreneurship, the agro-industrial complex, and housing provision for the population.

The Head of State was informed of the holding’s record net profit for 2022 of 350 billion tenge, which is five times higher than in 2020 and three times higher than in 2021.

Last year, Baiterek’s structures financed 238 large projects and leasing transactions totaling 685 billion tenge. In support of small and medium-sized businesses, 50,500 projects were subsidized for a total of approximately 1.5 trillion tenge.

According to the data presented to the President, agro-industrial entities received financing of 522 billion tenge against a planned 432 billion tenge.

Kanat Sharlapaev also reported that, in terms of housing provision, concessional mortgage loans totaling approximately 1.4 trillion tenge were issued, shared-equity construction guarantees were provided for 211.8 billion tenge, and credit housing construction financed by akimats amounted to 176.4 billion tenge. As a result, over 2.2 million sq. meters of housing were commissioned using support instruments, and 79,865 families improved their living conditions through mortgage lending.

The Head of State emphasized the importance of continued support for small and medium-sized businesses. He also noted the need for Baiterek’s active involvement in strengthening the country’s export potential and developing the agro-industrial complex.
